Power Up Training Classes
The group training class usually takes 45-50 minutes and exercises are performed with the beat of the contemporary music. (Metallica, Scooter, Prodigy, Red Hot Chilli Peppers to mention just few) There are 5 different routines (volumes) that are quickly modified each time based on the level of involvement of participants. If the group feels good the intensity of the class is enormous. Although, I keep that in mind that we are not robots and sometimes we may simply have a "slower" day. In this case the exercise routine is modified to decrease the intensity and focus more on flexibility or strength elements.
The class is composed of warm-up exercises (dynamic and static stretches, joint mobility exercises and light cardio vascular routine to increase your heart rate).
After warm-up (usually one 4-5 minute song), we perform series of fast rhythm cardio exercises which have their roots in martial arts techniques. If you've ever seen a Taebo workout you should have an idea of what's involved with this routine. This segment is composed of 5-7 songs.
The next part of the workout is the "ground work". In other words, exercises in this segment are performed on the floor and mainly focus on core stability/strength, gluts (the good looking muscles), inner-outer thighs, as well as isometric contractions of different muscle groups. At this point, we also may work on your muscular endurance by performing 100 squats or 100 sit-ups.
If you answered NO to any of my questions, you might be someone who needs to spend some time with me.
The last part of the workout focuses on flexibility. Our goal is to do the full splits (Just kidding).
"Power UP" is one of the largest, most requested classes I offer.
